What To Do is a free listing of special events in the city and region. Priority will be given to community groups, non-profit organizations and family activities. It is not intended as a free listing for businesses which have other promotional options within the newspaper. Consortium Aurora Borealis, presents a concert jointly celebrating Henry Purcell‘s 350th birthday and the 400th year of astronomy, with music for voices, trumpet, strings and keyboard from church and theatre, as well as readings. The concert will be held Sat., 8 p.m. at St. Paul‘s United Church, 349 Waverley St. Admission is by donation at the door (suggested $15 adults, $10 seniors/students). Sunday Music & Variety Program, Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre, 700 River St., Sunday, 2 p.m., featuring Spookymphony. The orchestra will play some scary music for you, but not too scary! Annual Harmony for the Hungry Christmas Show, presented by The Gentlemen of Harmony and The Sounds of Superior Chorus, Wed., Nov. 25, at Hilldale Lutheran Church (corner of Wardrope Ave. & Hilldale Road), 7 p.m. Tickets are $10, available by phoning 473-7333 and may be available at the door. The net proceeds will be given to the Thunder Bay Food Bank. Donations of non perishable food items would be greatly appreciated. Refreshments will be served after the performance.

The Fort William Male Choir, invites men of all ages (over 18) to join the choir. The choir sings a wide range of music in SATB and TTBB from all genres & times. Gentlemen of Harmony (formerly the Thunder Bay Barbershop Chorus), a four part harmony bass singing every Tuesday at Knox United Church, Shuniah St., 7:30 p.m. Come and join the camaraderie of singing.

The Kam Valley Fiddlers rehearse Mondays at Westgate High School, 7 p.m. Young musicians with at least one year of violin are welcome to try fiddling around.

Lakehead Choral Group is a mixed voice (SATB) community choir and invites men & women (over 18 years of age) to join in to make beautiful music. The choir sings a wide variety of choral music, from classical selections, show tunes and contemporary songs to rock and doo-wop. Practices are Wednesdays, 7:15-10 p.m. at St. Patrick High School.
