In favour — green energy is the way to go
No way, not in our backyard
Well, it might spur much needed economic development

PARIS - Former world champion figure skater Brian Joubert of France will miss next week’s Grand Prix final after injuring his foot in a training accident.

Joubert was training in Poitiers on Wednesday when he landed awkwardly attempting a triple lutz and sustained a deep cut to his right foot, the French Federation for Ice Sports said Thursday.

The French federation said Joubert needs a foot operation and will miss the Dec. 3-6 finals in Tokyo.

The 25-year-old Joubert won the Grand Prix in 2006 and was world champion in 2007. He is also a three-time European champion.
