Details for DOUGLAS HUNTI tried to buysome hens from him,Bout forty years

I tried to buy
some hens from him,
Bout forty years ago,
The more I tried to haggle him,
The more that he said no,
Jumped in my truck
and hit the gas,
And sped away quite mad,
I never knew that stubborn man,
Would wind up being my dad,
We've had our fun
and arguments,
And had our share of beers,
But since we said
our last goodbyes,
I've shed my share of tears,
He wanted me to call him dad,
It made him think he won,
But I was the real winner,
Cause that meant I was his son.

I miss you every single day
and loved you more
than you would of ever guessed.

~ Love (your son) Brian
