Going big with arts, crafts

The Artisans Northwest 41st annual Art and Fine Craft Show continues at the Valhalla Inn today with more than 70 booths and artisans. Eugene Vandal, the president of Artisans Northwest, said there is much more to see this year.

"This is our largest show ever and we've basically filled every (event) room in the Valhalla Inn this year," he said.

New this year are woodworkers with their wood-turning products of bowls and vases, four new visual artists with one featuring acrylics on glass and another artist that fuses glass, and a new clothing designer.

Admission is free and organizers are asking for a silver donation. Proceeds will go to the Community Arts and Heritage Education Project (CAHEP).

Show time is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
