The sentencing of Brayden Bushby is the beginning of justice for Barbara Kentner and her family, says the Ontario Native Women’s Association.

Bushby was given an eight-year manslaughter sentence for throwing the trailer hitch from a moving vehicle that struck Kentner in the stomach. The court found the injury Kentner sustained from the assault had contributed to her death on July 4, 2017.
