Over the last seven years Ribfest has been an annual tradition for father and son Scott and Ethan Barton.

“We’ve been coming to Ribfest since it started and it’s one of the key things we like to do in the summer,” said Scott.

Since the Red River Rumble car and motorcycle show that is held in conjunction with the event began four years ago, the pair have made a point to attend that too.

“Whevenever the cars and bikes are together we come down to see the cars and food all at the same time,” said Scott, as he and Ethan took in the show on Sunday.

The show, which was held on Red River Road the first two years, quickly outgrew that space, moving to Cumberland Street where it tested the limits this year stretching from Pearl to Van Norman.
