EcoSuperior is offering a free workshop on radon testing and how to address high levels of radon in the home.

November is radon action month, which brings awareness to the gas that is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smoking Canadians.

In a public service announcement, EcoSuperior said that 16 per cent of Thunder Bay homes test high for radon, which is three times the provincial average.

The organization is hosting a public workshop on radon testing on Tuesday from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Waverley Resource Library’s auditorium.

Radon testing kits will be available for $50.
