Walkers, runners, cyclists and inline skaters will have more room to enjoy the outdoors on weekends at Boulevard Lake.
Lyon Boulevard West is now closed to motor vehicle traffic every weekend and into Mondays.
“We’ve have seen more people using Boulevard and earlier in the spring numbers have been really high,” said Kayla Dixon, director of engineering and operations for the City of Thunder Bay.
The idea behind the road closure from Arundel Street to the north entrance of the main parking lot is to encourage people to be active outside and maintain physical distance.
