I THINK your readers will be interested to know that more than 20 Thunder Bay tourists have carried 1,000 pounds of life-saving and life-enhancing medical supplies to the children’s hospital of Matanzas in Cuba so far this season.

Supplies have included medicines, ostomy supplies, micro surgical instruments for tiny patients and much more.

When you consider the size and remoteness of Thunder Bay, this is a huge achievement.

Thanks go to WestJet and Sunwing airlines for making this possible. Thanks also to those tourists who unselfishly were willing to bother with an extra suitcase to make this possible.

For any of your readers going to Varedaro, Cuba, they can become part of this miracle by phoning MEMO at 627-6360.
