A perfect 10

Thunder Bay Lakers under-16 third baseman Austin Nelson, left, tags out Daytona Dodgers’ Taylor MacAskill, who was trying to advance from first to third on a single during Thunder Bay senior men’s baseball action on Thursday at Baseball Central. The out was one of the few things that went wrong for the Dodgers in a 15-3, five-inning romp over the young rep team. Daytona improves to a league-best 10-0. Pat Shoppoff led the attack by going 3-for-4 with five RBI. The Dodgers posted three runs in the first inning and two runs in the second. They put the game away with four more runs in the fourth inning, highlighted by Kody Anton’s run-scoring double and Shoppoff’s two-run single. Winning pitcher Dylan Scocchia worked all five innings, striking out four and allowed six hits. Edric Bileske registered two hits for the Lakers (1-3).
