Play ball!

Arja Lesperance, left, drops down a swinging bunt with teammates looking on during tee ball action at the Westfort Complex on Tuesday evening. The games are part of the revamped Little League house league season hosted by the Westfort Internationals which started earlier this month. Over 50 children between the age of four and six signed up for teeball alone. All other divisions have seen a spike in registration as well. In teeball, the players are taught the basics of swinging the bat, catching the ball and running the bases. The Westfort and Port Arthur Nationals house leagues will run until August. The leagues are usually held in May and June.
