Members of the Westgate Tigers senior football team celebrate after winning the Thunder Bay high school championship on Saturday at Fort William Stadium. The Tigers upset the defending champion St. Ignatius Falcons 18-0. Evan Basalyga kicked four field goals and Brendan Hall added a touchdown and two interceptions. The title marks the program's first victory since 2013. Westgate advances to the OFSAA Simcoe Bowl in Hamilton, Ont., later this month against either Barrie North or St. Joan of Arc Catholic. In the junior final, the St. Patrick Saints rolled over St. Ignatius 38-10 behind Manerplaw Winning's five-touchdown performance.
